Captain Mate Vitaljic is a highly qualified Master Mariner dedicated to maritime command, bringing extensive experience from both commercial shipping and luxury yachting.

He is a graduate of Maritime High School and the Faculty of Maritime Studies in Split, holding a Master Mariner license (allowing global command of ships of any size). His career encompasses leadership roles on cargo ships, passenger vessels, and senior maritime management positions.

Since transitioning to luxury yachting in 2011 (co-owning/operating Korab), Captain Mate has utilized his deep knowledge of the Adriatic to prioritize guest safety, comfort, and exceptional cruising experiences. He has successfully captained the luxury yacht Son de Mar since 2019.

Born into a family of seafarers, Ivan gained his first maritime experience working on his father’s yacht during high school summers. With a degree in Economics, he now combines his professional skills with his love for the sea as a vital crew member aboard Son de Mar.

Attentive, personable, and efficient, Ivan ensures guests feel welcomed and cared for. When he’s not on board, he works as a project manager in a yacht charter agency and enjoys traveling, basketball, and family time.

Antonia began her maritime career serving in senior roles as a Chief Stewardess and Chief Purser. Transitioning to the galley in 2011 aboard the yacht Korab, she established herself as an accomplished Chef specializing in Mediterranean-inspired fine dining.

To continually refine her expertise, Antonia pursued formal culinary training and worked alongside renowned chefs during the off-season. Her cuisine emphasizes fresh, local ingredients, resulting in dishes that are both visually stunning and flavorful.

As the Chef aboard Son de Mar, Antonia excels in prioritizing and catering to individual guest preferences, ensuring memorable, high-quality dining experiences paired with heartfelt hospitality.

Fluent in German and Croatian, her professional experience includes one year as a Stewardess on AIDABlue, one year as First Stewardess on AIDAMar, and three seasons aboard the yacht Son de Mar. She also holds prior experience in restaurant service and winter tourism in Austria.

India is dedicated to delivering exceptional service by proactively anticipating guest needs and maintaining team harmony. She specializes in crafting personalized guest experiences, including hosting themed evenings, preparing exquisite cocktails, and offering a deep knowledge of Croatian wines. She is committed to continuous professional development and high-level guest care.

Lea is an experienced Stewardess with a strong academic maritime foundation, holding a degree from the University of Maritime College in Split (graduated 2016). Her professional journey includes gaining over three years of valuable
experience on luxury yachts, specifically M/Y Korab and M/Y Alessandro, before joining the Son de Mar crew.

Known for her exceptional work ethic, warm, and professional approach, Lea combines attentiveness with genuine enthusiasm to ensure an outstanding guest experience. She is fluent in Spanish and continually strives to expand
her linguistic and professional skills. Her dedication to excellence makes her a valued member of the service team

Borna is a disciplined and highly motivated deckhand with five seasons of professional experience in the maritime industry. Having entered the sector at an early age, he has developed a robust foundation in deck operations, vessel
maintenance, and guest services across a variety of motor yachts and commercial vessels.

Coming from a family with a strong maritime tradition, he brings a natural aptitude for life at sea combined with a professional, proactive work ethic. He is recognized for his organizational skills, discretion, and ability to maintain high
service standards in dynamic environments.

Nikola is a skilled and dedicated Deckhand with six seasons of experience aboard luxury yachts.

He is highly valued for his strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Nikola excels in delivering exceptional service by proactively anticipating guest needs. His professional demeanor is characterized by responsibility, precision,
and an ability to create a positive environment, making him an invaluable and enthusiastic team member dedicated to operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
