With over 10 years of maritime experience, Joanna Jorro joins Felicita as Captain, bringing a background spanning sailing instruction, yacht deliveries and professional skippering. Holding a Captain 200 qualification with a sailing endorsement, she has worked aboard a wide range of sailing and motor yachts, developing her versatility through varied responsibilities at sea.
Throughout her career, Joanna has sailed in the Mediterranean, including Corsica, Sardinia, Greece and the French Riviera, and completed Atlantic yacht deliveries between Ajaccio and Martinique. Her experience includes serving as second aboard the 23 metre motor yacht Stalca and as second and cook on the 18 metre catamaran Libertad Eckoblue. She has also captained vessels for La Réserve Genève and coastal excursions in Corsica, and has worked as a freelance skipper since May 2025.
A native French speaker fluent in English and Italian, Joanna previously taught sailing in Menton and Antibes. Her passion for navigation extends to regattas, cruising, diving, paddleboarding and kayaking. She brings this enthusiasm for life at sea, together with her practical experience and adaptability, to her role as Captain aboard Felicita.
